Après seulement deux ans, Dan Slott a annoncé son départ de la série Iron Man. Venu de la télévision, Christopher Cantwell (Doctor Doom) sera le nouveau scénariste du titre à partir de septembre 2020. Les aventures de Tony Stark seront donc une nouvelle fois relancées au #1, avec le dessinateur Cafu (Jane Foster : Valkyrie) à la partie graphique.
