Deadline 1 - Deadline Issues (2002)

Kat Farrell is a reporter with the Daily Bugle. Her life is defined by being tormented by hotshot superheroes like Johnny Storm, but she takes it in order to get the collumn she always wanted to write. Kat gives the reader a tour of the personalities that inhabit the Bugle, including Betty Brant who tells her that she has a shot at the crime desk. She starts to persue an article about a string of supervillain murders, which leads her to Judge "No" Hart. People are saying that his ghost has risen, and he's not happy. She continues persuing leads and winds up trailing Third Rail, a C-list villain who spots her. The only thing that saves her was none other than the ghost of the judge.

Later on, she reports her findings to Betty Brant and goes home for a long deserved shower, where she's found that her goldfish has been kidnapped.
