Fire, smoke, adrenaline, and fear--when everyone is running away from a fire, a few courageous people are rushing to jump right into the thick of it. Firefighters put their own lives on the line to protect other people, and Daigo Asahina has always dreamed of becoming one. Now, he's fresh out of the training academy and has been assigned to sleepy Medaka-Ga-Hama fire station. After going out on a few calls, Daigo discovers that he's got an uncanny ability to rescue people and save lives--but will his impetuous lack of discipline get him into more trouble than he can handle?
