Mekanix 2 - Runaway Issues (2002 - 2003)

The Astrophysics experiment has gone totally wrong, culminating at a massive laser beam blasting through the roof of the building and an explosion within. The Professor asks his students to escape through the tunnels, but Kitty clocks him so that no one will argue when she says that she'll stay behind to shut down the grid. With the rest of the students gone, Kitty manually shuts down the reactor. Before long, she's rescued by Karma and Tom More. Together, they find the rest of the students and make their way through the tunnels. They're nearly buried under a collapse, but are saved by Shola. They finally make it out of the tunnels safe and sound, but are then questioned by the police due to the possibility of domestic terrorism. They attempt to pin the incident on her and the other classmates hoping to discredit a hate organization. When the police ask her if she's a mutant, she (and the rest of the class) say resoundingly, "Hell yes."
